Once again, my thanks to all of you down at Scout for a great boat. I have been running my 222SF 30 miles offshore for bluefin tuna and so far have not had any concerns that the boat would not get me back home. Even on the days when it took a couple hours to get back because of the afternoon winds and 3ft head seas, the boat handles the sea conditions beautifully. I’ve been averaging between 15 and 18 gallons per trip (cruising at 3900 rpms/ 27-28 mph) depending on how much trolling I do; in my old boat that would have been 80 gal minimum. That fuel efficiency to me is fantastic.
