Dear Scout Boats,
2008 was good for us, and this year looks just as promising. My son Carlos Umpierre released a 300+ lb Blue Marlin off Dorado, Puerto Rico on May 25, 2009 after over an hour of a fight on 30lb test. The fish was successfully released alive and unharmed. And we did all this aboard our 175 Sportfish. Your boats RULE! The funniest thing is that we were fishing along million and half-million dollar boats, and if thought we were in the smallest boat, our father and son team aboard our Scout was the one to beat!
