But with so many options, how can you choose the right features? It all depends on how you plan to use the boat. Here are a few quick suggestions to help you get started.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR BOAT WITH THE BUILD YOUR SCOUT FEATURE
With the Build Your Scout feature, you can create a boat that is built to your specific needs. Starting with the base model, you can then select engine options, colors, and optional equipment. Depending on the model you have selected, you will find dozens of different choices, allowing you to enjoy a custom sport fishing boat that perfectly matches your needs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Let’s say you choose the 225 XSF. With this boat, you can choose from eight different engine options, five different color options, and then move to the optional equipment, which includes two choices for helm seating and five options for top covers. Simply check the boxes next to the features you want on your boat.
Some boats have even more options. The 420 LXF, for example, has 18 different miscellaneous options, including a security system, Pro Drive technology, a Kenyon grill and more.
CUSTOM FEATURES FOR FISHING
There are many features you can add to make a custom sport fishing boat that meets your needs. On larger boats, such as the 420 LXF, a marine fighting chair is one of the top fishing features. This chair helps you fight large, strong fish such as tuna or blue marlin.
Other features that enhance fishing include extra rod holders, push-pole holders, added live wells, and a fish ice box, which pours ice directly into a standard fish box. You can also choose an onboard grill for some models, which lets you cook your catch without ever leaving the water!
CUSTOM FEATURES FOR SKIING
Water skiing is one of the most enjoyable activities for families of all sizes. It’s also great for groups of friends who want to enjoy the water with more thrills and excitement. While Scout focuses on luxury fishing boats, nearly all of our crafts can be turned into world-class ski boats as well.
One of the top features you’ll want is a ski tow bar. This feature raises the rope connection on the boat and helps keep the rope out of the water. It also creates a more even, level pull for the skier. Another feature you’ll want to look into is added horsepower for your engines. To have the best skiing experience, a boat with faster acceleration is preferred.

If you just want to cruise the water and enjoy a beautiful day on the sea, then Scout has boats that will keep you happy for years, as well as features that enhance the simple delight of cruising on clean, blue waters. Features like additional speakers or back-to-back lounge seats increase the fun and relaxation while cruising through your favorite bay, while LED lights and enhanced electronics increase your overall enjoyment. You can even find optional items like a removable teak bow table and even televisions, depending on the model you select.
