Scout: The Right Fishing Boat for You

At Scout, we design our boats with the angler in mind. Everyone here loves fishing, so we understand what anglers are looking for in a luxury fishing boat. Throughout our design process, we are constantly taking into account how anglers will use our boats. We consider design styles, convenience features, and technology to make sure our boats meet the needs of any fishing adventure.

So what makes a Scout boat the perfect choice for anglers? Keep reading to find out…

One of the first things you will notice about a Scout boat is the helm, which is designed to make fishing easier. All of our boats have a tilting steering wheel so you can easily steer while sitting or standing. This makes a difference when you are fishing, as you will have an easier time going from casting to steering and back to casting.

All of our fishing boats have a full live-well that is well-lit and aerated. The well is constantly recirculated to ensure the water is fresh, keeping it clean and helping fish stay alive for hours inside the live-well. Some of our boats have live-wells conveniently located behind the helm’s seat, and many of our models have multiple live-wells, including wells at the front and back of the boat.

Flush-mounted steel rod holders are found all over a Scout boat. Whether you’re casting from the stern or bow, you’ll have access to a rod holder that makes your fishing more convenient, and also keeps rods and reels from falling, either into the boat where they could be tripping hazard, or into the water where they will be lost forever.

There is also plenty of storage for all of your fishing equipment and tackle. Along with rod holders for storage during high-speed travel, there is also storage compartments for tackle boxes, lures, knives, hooks, reels, and anything else you need to bring along while fishing.

On other boats, mounted cleats can get in the way of your casting, catching your lures or the end of your rod. With a Scout boat, however, you’ll have pull-up cleats that easily hide back into the deck, leaving a flat surface that won’t catch your hooks, bait, or trophy fish.

When you step on the front deck for casting, there will be no creaks and rattles while you step around. There is also a tow-kick to help keep you safe, making the front deck of a Scout one of the most popular places to be. (Behind sitting at the helm, of course!)

On many of our boats, you’ll find a 24-volt trolling motor plug, which makes mounting a trilling motor easier than ever. It’s one of the final touches that make Scout boats perfect for anglers all across the country. Whether you fish in freshwater lakes or saltwater seas, a Scout boat has all the features you need for an enjoyable, successful fishing adventure.
