2014 North American Windsurfing Championship

On February 20th, 2014 the 2014 North American Windsurfing Championship took place in Cancun, Mexico with over fifty-six competitors from eight different countries, including Aruba, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, and the United States of America. The three-day championship, which is made up of eleven difference races, drew to a close after the American team secured the first qualifying place for the Youth Olympic Games.

At the championship, officials used Scout 320 LXF to watch over the competitors. The luxury sportfisher is 32’ long and features dual swim platforms with a center walkthrough, hydraulic steering with power assist, a dive swim ladder, and some of the newest Scout Boats technology. The use of this boat at a world championship illustrates the way in which Scout Boats is working to deliver high-quality and luxury boating experiences.

The LXF is part of a line of boats that carriers Scout Boats new flagship center console and is available with twin Yamaha F300 or F350 engines. This model, for the first time ever, has a triple engine configuration that helps to reach a top speed of 70 mph for boating enthusiasts.

In addition, the Scout 251 CXS, which has all the features of a bay boat combined with transition anglers for offshore efficiency and comfortability, was hosted in Salt Water Sportman’s 16 Top Bay Boats. The boat has fold-down seats, which create a spacious platform for fishing. The boat also has an innovative T-top/glass enclosure, which provides a barrier for the window and increased visibility while on the water.

Scout Boats, which is based in Summerville, South Carolina is at the forefront of manufacturing new boating technology and has been reviewed as a national and international bestseller. Currently, Scout Boats is in the process of developing the new 420 LXF Luxury Sportfisher, which is scheduled to be released in Spring 2014. This new design will integrate a high-performance stepped hull, a spacious cabin, sundeck, and state of the art navigation technology. This release will come shortly after MasterVolt and Garmin technology that was released last month. Scout Boats is currently offering a series of promotions, including the 177 Sport, 174 SportFish, 195 SportFish, 191 Bay, 201 Bay, 210 SportFish, and a 210 Dorado.
